Robbie PierceWhile considered a “rookie” in off road racing circles, Robbie is the fiercely competitive and innovative Owner and CEO of Santee, California based MasterCraft, and a respected veteran in the off road products industry. Purchasing the Team MasterCraft Protruck in mid 2005, the racing “rookie” and veteran co-driver Tom Geviss startled the competition by staying in the driver’s seat all the way to a 5th in class and 13th overall out of more than 350 vehicles at the punishing 500 mile long 2005 Best in the Desert Vegas to Reno race.
Since then Robbie and Team MasterCraft’s support crew have had a remarkable and successful run at each race they have entered, earning respect in off road racing mile by mile, including the rugged BITD Parker 400, SCORE Baja 500 and SCORE Baja 1000.
Robbie brings the same enthusiasm and innovative spirit to Off Road racing that has propelled MasterCraft to a market leadership position since his purchase of the company in 1999. MasterCraft develops and manufactures high performance and enthusiast seating products, restraints, safety equipment, storage bags and heavy-duty tie downs and ratchet straps.
In 2009 Team Mastercarft purchased the #20 Jimco Trophy Truck and maned it with Rob MacChachren for the Prim 300 SCORE race after the withdraw of Riviera Racing (where Rob Mac is driver of record) for that race. The result of this race: 1st place finish that got later reduced to second place by speed penalties. Considering that Rob MacCachren had about 1 hour of prep-time on thsi truck before the race one can imagine the competitiveness of this pairing!
