Team Project Baja takes first victory at San Felipe 250CLASS 1 ARMIN SCHWARZ, No. 104 (first) — Co-driver Martin Christensen, who finished the race, said: It’s an unbelievable day for the German team. It’s a very, very extreme course. We’re very excited about coming in first. Armin did a good job giving me the car. The car was much faster than we anticipated. Team Project Baja and Armin Schwarz tackle the desertProject Baja is how Armin Schwarz, the All German Motorsport team and their partners dubbed their fascinating three-year motorsport programme in the USA. Schwarz, contester of 121 world rally championship rounds, ex-European champion and two-time German championship winner, tackles the most popular off road race series in America in 2007 – the SCORE International Off Road Racing Series. One of the most challenging races for the Eibach suspension springs. Eibach already supported Armin in his first Baja-1000 race last year.

Schwarz will initially contest three desert races in a 700+hp Class 1 Unlimited Buggy reaching 200 kph, run by the Califonia-based All German Motorsports team. The highlight of the year is the “Baja 1000″ from 10th to 16th November, run for the 40th time over 1,400 miles at full speed through the Baja Califonia Peninsula on the Gulf of Mexico. Through the pathless dessert, with high jumps and hard landings the springs are in full activity. Without the high-quality Eibach springs the full-race buggy would not survive.
