A Bowler from Germany? Not really, the constructor of the new “Lennson CC” said it’s the German answer to the Bowler. The “Lennson CC” is a tubular chassis with 90% Mercedes production parts and can be used for FIA sectioned events as well for amateur sport.
This is not the future, this is reality, two of those vehicles are nearly completed and the planning is to start at the BAJA SAXONIA coming May. The construction of the third vehicle already started.

We had the chance to have some quick chit-chat with Roger Norman before he went to the ceremonial start at the 2010 edition of the Dos Mares 500 off-road race. He will race the first 175 miles before turning the Zorro Camaro Trophy Truck over to the team owner Francisco Cervantes. Roger talks about the Dos Mares race as well his first 2 days doing shared driving with Mark Post at the NORRA Mexican 1000 Rally. The organizers of the Dakar, A.S.O. – Amaury Sport Organization, made the route of the 33rd edition Dakar Rally Raid public. The 2011 edition of the famous Dakar will take place from 1st to 16th January 2011 in Argentina and Chile. Competitor enrollment will open on 15th May at the official Dakar website, www.dakar.com. For this third episode in South America, the riders, drivers and crews will be returning to some places that have already competed at the past rallies, such as the white dunes of Fiambala, the vast Atacama Desert or the dizzying descent to Iquique. With the NORRA Mexican 1000 in Mexicali at the 28. of Apr 2010 doing registrations, tech inspection (Colonial Hotel Rear Entrance – access from Calle Libertad), having their contingency and drivers meeting (6:00pm Colonial Hotel poolside) followed by “The Legends” party the historic rally is ready to leave in direction La Paz. Tomorrow at 7:00 am PST the vehicles will parade to Laguna Salada and at 8:00 am start at the top of Laguna Salada for the first leg of the 3 day rally event to the Bay of L.A. with the finish of the day across from the Casa del Sol Hotel. As pre-running over the rugged race course heats up for next week’s 24th Annual MasterCraft Safety Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250, NASCAR Cup team owner/driver Robby Gordon leads 25 defending SCORE Desert Series season point champions among a veteran field that includes many of the world’s best desert racers who have entered this popular spring race. An added attraction this year during the pre-running window is this weekend’s San Felipe Tequila Festival. Gordon, 41, Charlotte, N.C., who won the 2009 SCORE Trophy-Truck and SCORE Overall season point title in his No. 1 Team Gordon Chevy CK1500, is one of eight 2009 SCORE class season crown winners who did not win their respective classes in this race.
