Reality TV star Jesse James has received the first starting position during Saturday’s drawing for November’s 44th running of the legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 desert race. While James, who lives in Austin, Texas, will pilot his No. 54 Chevy Silverado SCORE Trophy Truck. This year’s internationally televised granddaddy of all desert races, the finale of the five-race 2011 SCORE Desert Series will be a loop race starting and finishing in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, with race week festivities scheduled for 17.-20. November 2011. A total of 202 vehicles officially entered in time for Saturday’s drawing held at SCORE International’s headquarters in Los Angeles. Travis Pastrana ready to ROC again in 2011. American action sports sensation Travis Pastrana will compete at the 2011 Race Of Champions, to be held at Düsseldorf’s ESPRIT arena on 2nd-3rd December 2011. The event will be one of Pastrana’s first competitive appearances since he smashed his right foot and ankle while attempting a motorcycle trick at July’s X-Games. The accident forced him to delay a planned switch to NASCAR until 2012 but this month he finally had the pins removed. The American won’t be able to walk for a few more weeks but he is adamant he will be ready for ROC 2011 regardless. After working on the new AGM-Jimco X6 Trophy Truck for the past year, we are proud to announce that it is finally complete! Today world-premiere for TT #15. It has been a long, but very rewarding project. From the moment we decided that we would be moving up to SCORE’s premier class, we knew that just buying a run of the mill truck would not work for us. So in true All German Motorsports fashion we set out to redesign the wheel, so to speak. The overall idea would be the same- four wheels, live axle rear end, front engine, two shocks per corner, but from there the design that Armin and I came up with would take a different direction. The basic idea was to create a smaller, lighter, more nimble version of what was racing currently. The goal being to design and manufacture every part 30% lighter than comparable items on other truck, without sacrificing strength or reliability. Read More→
