Class 8

Seems the new generation of Class 8 trucks are getting faster, the SF250 saw the winning Class 8 of JC Lopez mix it up with the top 10 Trophy Trucks and Class 1’s. Does the overall cost of building and maintaining a Class 8 justify it? Class 8 is awesome. There are questions at the moment if that PIN truck or the Ampudia truck are legal for Class 8. If not mistaking, the PIN truck has a notched rear frame legal in BITD, but not SCORE – and notched front end illegal everywhere. Some Class 8 racers will engage in discussions with them if they plan on racing the 500 – or any SCORE race for that matter.
Class 8 is coming back. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it cool? Yes. Is it fast? Yes. But it’s not filled with 40 guys comprised of a couple of over competitive teams and a butt load of dilettantes many of whom are 50-60 year old “sportsman”, racing the way one would go sail a yacht.
