Picking up where he left off last season with his third consecutive race win in San Felipe, Las Vegas’ Rob MacCachren overpowered a talent-laden field of 207 starters to capture the overall and SCORE Trophy Truck victory Saturday in the 26th Annual MasterCraft Safety Tecate SCORE San Felipe 250. SCORE released the official results today after completion of vehicle data tracking device review.
After starting first and slipping behind early in the elapsed-time race MacCachren worked his way back up to the front to re-take the lead at race-mile 172 in the No. 20 Rockstar Energy/MasterCraft Racing Ford F-150 SCORE Trophy Truck, ‘Rockstar Rob’ roared over and through the sandy, silty, rocky and dusty 248.64-mile course in four hours, 25 minutes, three seconds at an average speed of 56.29 miles per hour.

The 2011 Baja 500 is still underway as we are writing this, racers will be battling all Baja has to offer until the early morning hours. On race-day it was all Bryce Menzies who did lead wire to wire in his Redbull sponsored Geiser Trophy Truck. Bryce Menzies and co-driver Pete Mortenson started the race first in the SCORE Trophy Truck class and didn’t look back. They had clean air all day long as they took the checkered flag winning the prestigious Trophy Truck class as well as the 4 Wheel overall. Results are unofficial until SCORE reviews all tracking and gives out any necessary penalties.

Bluewater Resort & Casino Parker “425″, February 5. February 2011, unofficial results – 3-lap race. Taking the top spot in the three-lap classes were Jesse Jones of Litchfield Park and Joe Weining of Tucson. They drove No. 76 in the 1400 Pro class, A Ford, to a time of 7:32:41. Jones and Weining also received the Manny Esquerra Valor Award as the top overall performers in the race. The award was named after Manny Esquerra, who drove the Parker race for many years and won his class several times prior to his death in 2008.

Bluewater Resort & Casino Parker “425″, February 5. February 2011, unofficial results – 2-lap race. The day started cold but the weather turned warm for the BlueWater Resort & Casino/Best in the Desert Parker 425 off-road race for cars, trucks, and rails held Feb. 5 in Parker. At the awards ceremony Sunday morning, Best in the Desert Racing Association President Casey Folks said 212 vehicles started the race, and just over half of them, 116, finished it. Folks said the race was very exciting, with the leads in many classes changing times several times. He said there were several classes, which were so close, they couldn’t go by who crossed the finish line first to determine a winner. They found someone who had started later than the first one across the line actually had the better overall time.
