Jesse James wants your help for his “family” of injured race-fans

A major accident took place at the California 200 night race in the Lucerne Valley area, off Bessemer Mine Road in SoCal. This is the darkest day for off road racing as I know it. Off-road racing will change forever.
My condolences to the families and individuals involved in this tragedy, the driver and co-pilot, crew, and all the spectators that were injured or killed.
The desert gives, the desert takes….. Vaya con Dios.

There is no need to publish and contemplate any further about this accident. Professionals are at the scene to investigate. Let them do their work and make – if at all – statements based on their findings. Eye witnesses and individuals at the scene are the only ones entitled to make statements based on facts – the rest are the usual “news” vultures exposing ethically unacceptable conduct.
Human values and morals conduct are way above the rights to inform and this kind of freedom of speech!
It is disgusting to see some of the inflammatory and disrespectful adjectives and descriptions used by so called “news media”.

We at Puro Off-Road believe that off-road racing – just like any other motor sport – and commitments to becoming more environmentally efficient can get along very well. Pressure from sponsors, who are increasingly keen to be associated with a “greener” product will eventually rise since they realize it will be hard to maintain a general “clean” profile while supporting notoriously gas-guzzling monsters while there are alternatives. Alternatives that provide the excitement and spectacle of the sport as much as covering energy efficiency and master technical challenges. Following a report from FOTA. Given the challenges of off-road racing the time span to apply such measurements may be somewhat longer yet it could be also applicable.
