Costera 250 Constitucion to La Paz, coming weekend the next green flag for a Baja Sur desert race will be waved – the Costera 250 off-road competition from Ciudad Constitución to La Paz. This 298km race course follows the Pacific site of the peninsula after the start at Cd. Constitucion until La Ahuja where the course crosses over direction Bahia de La Paz with the race finish line at El Centenario outside of La Paz and the “official” checkered flag at Papas & Beer on the Malecon pretty much centro of La Paz. The race tech inspection and contingency event are scheduled for Friday August 29. / 16:00hr. The race starts for bikes the following day 17:00hr and for cars and trucks at 18:30hr. The race is part of the ProBaja race series.According to the organizers website there are 89 entries as of August 24th. 2009. Listed at the trophy trucks are: #29 Enrique Murillo Macías, #20 Martín Avendaño, #1 Valerio González Schcolnik, #21 José Luis Abaroa Geraldo, #9 Isaías González, #88 Francisco Javier Pantoja Castro, #28 Ernesto Cervantes Martínez, #70 Oscar Salazar and #2 Martín Avendaño Jr.

Class 1 racers intent to participate are #126 José Vizcaíno, #121 Francisco Huerta, #149 Juan Cota/Jorge Domínguez, #170 Arturo Castilla, #155 Raúl Castilla, #145 Julio Miguel Herrera and #102 Andrés/Jorge Ruffo

Class 10 shows 2 entries with #1027 Jorge Molina and #1030 Héctor Tapia Class 12 names #1202 Francisco Villagómez, #1255 Edgar Flores/Enrique Zazueta V., #1290 Roberto González, #1200 José Cervantes Martínez/Flavio Navarro, #1202 Armando Molina, #1215 Jaime Huerta, #1297 Franco Niño de Rivera and #1299 Samuel Araiza Vázquez. Racing at trails as shown above due south at the Costera 250. Class 8 shows #804 Andrea Tomba and with #803 Tom Bradely while Class 7 entries as # 747 Juan Hernández Paularena, #739 Francisco Pantoja Jr., #705 Carlos Ramos Murillo, #706 Salvador González, #703 Hugo Rafael Sáenz, #702 Miguel Ángel Carballo, #708 Gerónimo Robles and #738 Luis Fernando Cota with 8 vehicles seem to be quiet popular.
Representing Class 5 open are #525 Héctor Ibarra Espinoza and #500 Víctor Ceseña Angulo.
