Best Buggy ever!

Last Monday Team AGM continued it’s tests in the desert of the Baja California, Mexico in preparation for the upcoming Baja 1000 desert race. Armin Schwarz is very pleased with the outcome of the pre run and he sums it up this way: “I’ll tackle the 42nd Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 on Friday with the best Buggy that I ever sit in!” The testing conditions were perfect: With ambient temperatures up to 34 degrees Celsius we chose very, very rough terrain to run the final tests with the new hydraulic clutch that Martin Christensen had developed in house at AGM. Over those 500 grueling kilometers the clutch functioned perfectly and smoothly, damping the impact on the transmission just the way we had always dreamed of. The new suspension set-up that we had found with Eibach and Bilstein turned out to be just as perfect. So my assumption is that we will be able to go maybe 15 percent faster without running a higher risk on the technical side.

On Friday from 10:30 in the morning the starter will send the first Class 1 cars on their 670 mile journey through the desert. We are not only going for the Class 1 Unlimited class win, but for the title. At present we rank second, but the first three have good chances to clinch the championship. So in this three-way fight the motto can only be to go really fast AND be really smart in pacing yourself for this tough, long race.
Drivers for the Team AGM: Armin Kremer and Andy Aigner driving the Chevy powered Jimco Buggy #104 start position 4 in Class 1 at the race. Armin Schwarz and Martin Christensen driving the # 101 BMW powered Jimco Buggy starting as first in Class 1.
