39th Tecate SCORE BAJA 500 2007 race results

As "European gringos" we look of course first how the contingent from the "old world" performed in the 2007 Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, 360.847 kilometer (224.22 miles) offroad race. Not that bad I would say. After all they compete againt seasoned "desert warriors" with years of experience. Armin Schwarz and Matthias Kahle in their Class 1 Jimco unlimited buggy finished in 10:15:30 hrs. in 5th. place. Congrats!! Keep going like that guys and the Baja 1000 will be a highlight!! Mark Miller in a VW Touareg Diesel ended the race as 11th overall (!!!) in 10:00:38 hrs.. Giniel De Villers, South Africa, also VW Touareg, 10:18:44, 14th. overall. We talking here about diesel powered race vehicles, for sure same high-tech as the monster V-8's trophy trucks but most likely half the ponies under the hood!! So far the european drivers and vehicles. Looking forward to see / meet them at the Baja 1000!!
