AGM All German Motorsports

AGM is using for both of their Class 1 vehicles two seat A-arm all chrome-molly chassis, built by Jimco in El Cajon, California. Based on its structural integrity and overall handling, the choice to go with a Jimco chassis was an easy decision. Given the quality and reputation of the Jimco product, and the relationship built with them over the past several years, AGM considers Jimco a key partner and an integral piece of the overall package. There is no need to get in any more details about the JIMCO chassis, they are well known with all desert racers! Find more info about Jimco here.
The suspension package for the AGM Class 1 unlimited open-wheel buggy consists of Bilstein shocks absorbers (featuring a 6061 aluminum body with superior cooling) and Eibach springs. The car has two shocks per wheel, one bypass shock (with external adjustment capabilities) to provide for fine tuning, and one dual coil-over shock to provide a smooth ride. Depending on the severity of the terrain, the Eibach springs allow for additional tuning of the suspension with different spring rates to be applied.

The AGM car utilizes a 2001BMW E39 engine (similar as the BMW V8 displayed), straight out of a BMW M5. The M5 is the pinnacle sports sedan from BMW, providing 394 BHP at 6600 rpm and 368 ft. lbs. of torque at 3800 rpm (in its stock configuration). Utilizing Dinan components, a new exhaust and other modifications, the BMW engine package is capable of 500+ BHP, while maintaining a configuration designed to run for 200,000 miles on the street (or 3,000 miles in Baja).
The BMW engine package is definitely a signature mark of the AGM car. It is the only vehicle in it’s class utilizing a BMW engine, giving the AGM team a proven and competitive advantage. The impressive heritage and reputation of BMW Motorsports on road courses and the off-road performance of the AGM car dispels any doubts that this vehicle is destined for the podium. The AGM car is equipped with a cutting edge Xtrac 383 6-Speed sequential racing transaxle with limited slip differential. AGM is utilizing a carbon fiber ZF Sachs clutch and torque limiter.

Other componnents used within the AGM Class1 buggy are Baja Designs Sol Tek High Intensity Discharge lights, RECARO seats and BFGoodrich Project T/A tires offer amazing protection against flats, which is a must in the unpredictable and rough Baja terrain. Check out the
